Crowley Puerto Rico Services, Inc. announced today that it has executed a $48.5 million construction contract for a new pier at its Isla Grande Terminal in San Juan, Puerto Rico, further solidifying its commitment to the region, the company announced today. In conjunction with the investment, the company and the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) have also concluded a 30-year lease extension for the Isla Grande property. The U.S. Energy Department said Thursday it has given the final approval for Dominion Resources to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Cove Point, Maryland plant. The Cove Point plant is investing $3.8 billion in new infrastructure to ship up to 0.77 billion cubic feet of LNG starting late in 2017 to countries with which the United States does not have free trade agreements. The DOE said it conducted "an extensive careful review" of Dominion's applications and considered the economicâŚ

Hamburg-based Becker Marine Systems will present its 1,000th Becker Mewis Duct in Oslo at Nor-Shipping 2015. The use of all ducts previously delivered will have lowered CO2 by more than 1.4 million metric tons. The Becker Mewis Duct has not been a successful product for Becker Marine Systems alone, the company said. It is also contributing towards the global objective of enhanced sustainability in the shipping industry. The Becker Twisted Fin is also being presented at the trade fair.
