MAN Diesel & Turbo Sverige AB, a wholly owned subsidiary of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE (part of MAN and Volkswagen Group), acquires the marine fuel gas supply system (FGSS) business from the Sweden based Cryo AB, part of the Linde Engineering Division and a manufacturer of cryogenic equipment for the storage, distribution and handling of liquefied gases. It will be integrated into the company’s four-stroke marine business.

IMA/World Energy Reports has just completed a comprehensive assessment of the five year outlook for the deepwater sector. The new report – the 19th annual floater market forecast prepared by IMA since 1996 – provides our forecast of orders for floating production systems between 2016 and 2020. Here’s an overview of the findings and conclusions in the report. We see the downturn in market conditions and implosion of Petrobras as a bump in the road.
Crowley Breaks Ground on San Juan Terminal

Crowley Puerto Rico Services, Inc. has broken ground on a $48.5-million construction project for a new pier at its Isla Grande Terminal in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the company announced. The project includes the development of a new 900-foot-long, 114-foot-wide concrete pier and all associated dredging needed to accommodate Crowley’s two new liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered, Commitment Class ships, which are scheduled for delivery in 2017.
Swan, EXMAR Partner for India’s First FSRU Terminal

EXMAR has entered into a binding Term Sheet with Swan Energy Limited for the joint development and operation of the Jafrabad LNG Port project, to be located in the State of Gujarat, India. The Jafrabad LNG Port will be a 5 million tons per annum (MTPA) LNG receiving terminal, with one jetty-moored Floating, Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). The two partners have the firm intention to expand the terminal to 10 MTPA, through the deployment of a second FSRU.
Lithuania Opens Door to LNG Re-exports

First Vessel Launched for BigRoll Shipping

The heavy marine transportation provider BigRoll Shipping announced its first of four MC Class vessels under construction, BigRoll Barentsz, was launched on October 27, 2015 at Cosco Dalian Shipyard. The vessel construction and commissioning remains on schedule for delivery in March 2016. The second BigRoll vessel, the BigRoll Bering is expected to be launched in December, with an expected delivery date of May 2016.

Some 200 delegates from all around Turkey attended the Pilotage & Towage Services Technologies Congress in Izmir, an event supported by shipbuilder Sanmar, whose Projects Director Ali Gurun presented a paper about technical specification of modern harbor and terminal tug boats outside of Turkey and the effect of this on Turkish fleet. A keynote speaker at the Congress was Robert G Allan, Executive Chairman of Robert Allan Ltd, the designers of the majority of Sanmar's tug and workboat portfolio.
Iran Belgium Hold Talks to Build FLNG Unit

Minister of Petroleum, Bijan Zangeneh said that Iran and Belgium are in talks for possible floating production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) FLNG Unit off the Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf. The issue was brought up during Zangeneh’s talks with Belgian Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Pieter De Crem in Tehran on Monday as the two sides look to new areas of cooperation ahead of the lifting of sanctions on Iran.
