US Navy Awards Austal Option for Two More T-ATS Vessels
Australian shipbuilding group Austal announced its Austal USA arm has been awarded a $156,171,650 fixed-price incentive contract option from the U.S. Navy for the construction of two additional Navajo-class Towing, Salvage, and Rescue Ships (T-ATS 13 and 14). Macquarie Invests in Brazil Port Operator CLI to Fund $260M Deal
Australia's Macquarie group is investing in Brazilian ports by taking a stake in port operator CLI and funding a deal to buy sugar and grain terminals in Latin America's largest port, Santos, for $260 million, the companies said on Friday.Railway operator Rumo said in a securities filing late it has sold 80% of its subsidiary EPSA, which manages terminals 16 and 19 in Santos, to CLI for 1.4 billion reais ($260 million).

Multraship Supplies Emergency Tugs to Netherlands Coastguard
Dutch towage and salvage provider Multraship said it has won the tender to supply two Emergency Rescue & Towing Vessels (ERTV) to the Netherlands Coastguard for monitoring shipping safety in the southern section of the North Sea.The contract for the deployment of the vessels came into effect on July 1, 2022 and it will be for 4.5 years, with options for extensions. Multraship Commander (formerly ALP Ace) will be stationed at the Borssele wind farm.

Swedish builder Marell Boats informs it has been awarded a new contract to supply five fast patrolling and interceptor vessels to the Norwegian Police. USCG Report: Small Cutters Prove They Can Patrol a Big Ocean
The Coast Guardâs 353-ton, 154-foot fast response cutter (WPC) is capable of deploying independently to conduct missions that include port, waterways and coastal security; fishery patrols; search and rescue; and national defense. The service plans to build 64 of them to replace the 110-foot Island class patrol boats.
