Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg-based specialist in worldwide liner services for heavy lifts and project cargoes, has successfully completed audits by DNV GL which took place between 3 and 5 November.

As a consequence the company, which belongs to Rickmers Group, received new certificates for its integrated management system which covers the three segments of quality (ISO 9001: 2008), Environment (ISO 14001: 2004) and Occupational Safety and Health at Work (OHSAS 18001: 2007). The new certificates are again valid for a period of three years.

Rickmers-Linie has already been certified for many years according to ISO 9001 standards. The standard for occupational health and safety according to OHSAS 18001, and the management system for the environment according to ISO 14001 were added in 2010.

Ulrich Ulrichs, the CEO of Rickmers-Linie commented on the successful recertification as follows:

"With our liner concept we have been recognized for decades for quality and reliability. Our customers around the world increasingly ask for qualified and certified service providers. They take for granted that we have our management systems certified by external auditors. The importance of such certificates continues to grow, as well as the importance of transparency in workflows and processes. It is therefore important not to stand still but to further develop the systems consistently."

Hans-F. Illner, General Manager Global Business Support / Processes & QHSE added:

"We update and develop our management system actively and continuously. We see this successful recertification as a logical consequence of our actions. This encourages us to go further on the path on which we started with the integrated management system. The auditors from DNV GL have been reliable partners for the seventh time now, accompanying us in our quest for continuous improvement. In the end we do all this in the interests of our customers and service providers, as well as in our own."
