OSK-ShipTech Celebrates 50 Years

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

September 13, 2016

On Friday, September 16, 2016, consulting naval architects and marine engineers OSK-ShipTech A/S will celebrate half a century in marine consulting and the past 50 years’ journey and development from a company founded and run by a single man to a bustling and continually growing organization.

CEO Anders Ørgård has owned and managed OSK-ShipTech for the past 13 years since he took over Consulting Naval Architects Ole Steen Knudsen founded in 1966. From the very beginning, the company has been in the forefront of and driving technical development and innovation, both in the design process and in the very diverse array of completed vessels.

“We strive to stay ahead and encourage our employees to be curious and exploring,” Ørgård said. “Curiosity and professional play makes it fun to come to work, but it also leads to innovative ideas and new design and technical solutions, and that is the basis of our business. We live off ideas, and we sell our knowledge.”

Today, OSK-ShipTech A/S employs more than 50 naval architects, marine engineers, designers etc. – a triple increase in staff since 2003. “We have grown significantly over the years attracting the best Danish and international staff, and we have a great work culture,” Ørgård said. “Looking around the office, we don’t own anything. Our greatest asset is our employees, and when they are happy, our clients are happy.”

As a trusted partner and consultant for marine clients all over the world, OSK-ShipTech A/S said it intends to continue as such for the next 50 years and counting.

Besides a big anniversary party for employees and their partners, OSK-ShipTech A/S will also host a reception for clients and business partners at our premises in Copenhagen.
