Lower Mississippi River – Safety Zone

The US Coast Guard issued a Marine Safety Bulletin stating that a safety zone has been established between MM 96 and MM 100 AHP due to diving and salvage operations and to protect water intakes at MM 96.7 AHP. Vessels are to transit the safety zone at the lowest safe speed to minimize wakes. Plans call for institution of one-way traffic control measures during the day on November 4 due to active salvage operations.
