WINDEA CTV Fleet Takes Shape

MOL Group Enters CTV Business with Charter Deal for Ishikari Bay New Port Wind Farm

Japan's Mitsui O.S.K. Line has concluded a time charter contract with Shimizu Corporation for two crew transfer vessels (CTV) for an offshore wind farm at Ishikari Bay New Port. Crew Transfer Vessel Arrives in Japan to Serve Ishikari Bay New Port Offshore Wind Project

A new crew transfer vessel (CTV) for the Ishikari Bay New Port offshore wind farm in Hokkaido Prefecture arrived in Japan from Singapore on April 19, Japan's NYK has informed. The vessel is named “Rera As.”After completing its sea trials, the vessel was delivered in Singapore and transported to Honmoku Pier in Yokohama port by Kifune, a heavy-lift carrier operated by NYK Bulk & Projects Carriers Ltd. After being discharged, the crew transfer vessel was towed to the Oppama factory of Keihin Dock Co. Ltd.

Strategic Marine Commissions Study on Hybrid CTVs

Offshore crew transfer firm HST Marine has welcomed the arrival of its new UK-built hybrid-electric crew transfer vessel (CTV), HST Frances.The ceremony was attended by Nusrat Ghani MP, UK Minister of State (Dept. for Business and Trade and the Cabinet Office) and senior British maritime industry leaders.HST Frances is HST Marine’s second hybrid electric CTV. Mainprize Offshore Equips Fleet with Reygar's Vessel Monitoring System

Mainprize Offshore, an offshore services company, is installing Reygar's BareFLEET vessel monitoring system on seven of its semi-SWATH crew transfer vessels (CTVs) to make its growing fleet more efficient and improve its operational performance. U.S. Gulf of Mexico: Laborde Marine Expands Offshore Vessel Fleet

New Orleans-based Laborde Marine said Thursday it had acquired two 240-foot (73.15m) deepwater DP-2 offshore supply vessels from L&M Botruc Rental, Inc. and has expanded its fleet of managed vessels. The company said that SOLAS-certified Shelley Lab and Gibson Lab vessels would support deepwater activities in the Gulf of Mexico.One of the vessels is currently operating under contract, while the other is completing routine shipyard inspections and maintenance prior to becoming available for energy industry support later this month.

Chinese Firm Takes Delivery of Offshore Wind Crew Transfer Vessel

Chinese company Goldsea Marine Offshore Engineering has taken delivery of a new Incat Crowther-designed catamaran crew transfer vessel. The Incat Crowther 32, built by AFAI Southern Shipyard in Guangzhou, has a large cargo zone and a maximum speed of up to 25 knots. The crew transfer vessel will now be put into service transporting up to 12 technicians and six crew to and from Goldsea’s offshore wind assets.
