Boksa Marine Design Supports New Workskiff Projects

BMD provide naval architecture services for two commercial vessels.

Boksa Marine Design, Inc. (BMD) has provided hull, structural and outfitting design for two recent Workskiff built boats, a 25’ RIB law enforcement boat and a 31’ RIB salvage and towing vessel. “We’ve been fortunate to partner with Workskiff on these two projects as well as many others over the years. Their boats help clients meet the challenges faced on the water and efficiently operate in all weather conditions,” said Nick Boksa, President of Boksa Marine Design.

 

BMD managed the entire design of both vessels. The first, a 25' Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), was designed for use by the Illinois Conservation Police, part of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The boat design can be altered as needed, with shortening to 23’ or lengthening to 27’. The boats are capable of being trailered for easy transportation. The second boat, a 31’ Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) utility vessel was designed for an Alaskan based marine towing and salvage company. Like the other boat, the 31’ RIB design can be shortened to 29’ and lengthened to 33’. 

 

BMD combines its extensive knowledge of architecture, design and engineering to provide real solutions for builders and their clients. The boats, developed and built by Workskiff, recently went through successful sea trials. Workskiff of Sedro Woolley, WA is an industry leading builder of custom aluminum boats for law enforcement, government agencies, education institutions and private industry.
