September 24, 2014

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced the official opening of its newest office, in Canberra, Australia.

Located in the suburb of Fyshwick, the Canberra office will accommodate OSI’s business development, technical, service, and training staff that will be dedicated to the development of the company’s Asia Pacific business.

The opening is part of OSI’s long-term commitment to its strategic focus on the Asia Pacific Region – aligning closely with the objectives of the Australian Defence White Paper.  The company is mandating stronger regional presence while continuing to support existing customers and partners in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.

“OSI recognizes that with growing security concerns, it is more important than ever for close, local engagement with our customers and to support their maritime security requirements,” stated OSI’s CEO, Ken Kirkpatrick.  “We also look forward to raising awareness of the OSI brand, capabilities, and building our team with Australian expertise.”

Direct engagement with OSI staff will be an additional benefit of the office.  Customers will have more access to product and system technical knowledge provided by local employees for improved ILS performance and cost  savings.

The official launch of this latest OSI facility will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2014 supported by OSI’s President and CEO, Ken Kirkpatrick, VP of Business Development, Jim Davison, and Director of Business Development AP, Jock McManus.
