Wärtsilä says it has signed a turnkey contract to supply a liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal to be built in Tornio, northern Finland. The contract, valued at approximately EUR 100 million, has been made with Manga LNG Oy, a joint venture between the Finnish companies Outokumpu Group, Ruukki Metals Oy, Gasum Oy and EPV Energy Ltd. Wärtsilä has been contracted by German-Swedish ferry operator TT-Line to retrofit an exhaust gas cleaning system to its Ro-Pax vessel, the M/S Robin Hood as part of TT-Line's Green Ship strategy. The full turnkey project will be managed by Wärtsilä thereby minimizing downtime and risk, while guaranteeing performance and regulatory compliance. Wärtsilä has been contracted to retrofit its Open Loop Scrubber systems on three additional vessels owned by Color Line, Norway's largest cruise and ferry operator. The ships are being built at the CSSC Guangzhou Huang-Pu Shipbuilding Company Ltd shipyard in China, and are scheduled for delivery at the end of 2014. The order was signed in the second quarter of 2013 and is part of a series of contracts covering a total of 22 vessels.
