Transas Provides ECDIS for Nonprofit Vessel
Transas Marine will supply and install its Navi-Sailor ECDIS Multifunction Display for the nonprofit GBA Ships e.V.’s service vessel Logos Hope, a deal in part financed by donation from the Transas Marine. GBA Ships is a private, nonprofit entity registered in Germany, which operates ships that sail around the world to bring knowledge, help and hope. GBA pioneered the concept of using ships to transport literature, humanitarian aid and people resources.

Transas Hellas and COSMOS Nautical Training Center (Greece) has signed an agreement for supply and installation of Dynamic Positioning simulators. Under the contract, COSMOS NTC, Transas Global ECDIS Training Network (GET-Net) Partner, will gain Transas Class B and Class C DP simulators. Transas Updates Ship Security Alert System
Transas Marine launched its latest ship security alert system ShipGuard 4 SSAS, utilizing the SkyWaveIsatData Pro transceiver. The IsatDataPro(IDP) series operates on the Inmarsat I-4 constellation which provides improved network speed. Polling request and response times now takes 30-45 seconds, which Transas says is four times faster than its predecessor. Transas ShipGuard 4 SSAS is type-approved by Germanischer Lloyd and provides regulatory SSAS functionality.
