Transas Group has announced today the appointment of Andrey Belentiev as the Group's Director of the Marine Business Unit. Transas Secures Two VTS Contracts in Bulgaria
Transas Marine has signed contracts with the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co) for the implementation of two significant Vessel Traffic System projects in Bulgaria. The first project involves completion of the second phase of the Bulgarian River Information Services project (BulRISII). The real hardware integration and achieved level of realism make this simulator complex truly unique. Transas Equips Arabian Gulf Academy in Basra
Arabian Gulf Academy For Maritime Studies, situated in Basra - the biggest Iraqi port and one of the biggest cities of the country - will soon be able to offer its students a hands-on training using three simulators from Transas: Engine Room simulator ERS 5000, GMDSS simulator and Radar/ARPA simulator. Bahia Blanca Port Installs Transas Traffic Manager
Transas USA announce the installation of the Vessel Traffic Management System in Bahia Blanca Port. Under this contract, Transas replaced the previous Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system with the Transas Navi-Harbor system, which the manufacturer said is specifically designed to ensure maritime navigation safety and efficiency, while at the same time protecting the environment from the possible adverse effects of marine traffic.
Transas ECDIS and Chart Service for Hellenic Carriers

Transas Simulators for Girne American University
Transas has completed a project to supply the navigational and GMDSS simulators to Girne American University (GAU), a high school in Northern Cyprus. The configuration includes two navigational bridges based on the latest Transas Navi-Trainer Professional (NTPRO) software. The main bridge with five projector visualization channels is equipped with reduced set of dedicated hardware controls. It will enable training in various shiphandling operations including bridge team management.

Minerva and Transas Partner for Paperless Navigation
Transas Hellas has recently agreed with Minerva Marine Inc. to equip its fleet with ECDIS and official charts aiming to shift within a specified timeframe to paperless navigation.
