Allen Marine Tours to Repower Two Vessels with Scania Engines
Scania was selected by Allen Marine Tours to power a pair of their eco tour vessels. The two 78-foot QUAD powered vessels will each be repowered with Scania V8 DI16 082M, 800 HP engines delivered by Cascade Engine Center. Franzke Named President of Scania USA
Jorg Franzke has been appointed president of engine manufacturer Scania U.S.A., Inc., effective May 16, 2022. He succeeds Håkan Sterner, who will move back to Sweden after five years at Scania USA. Franzke will be responsible for Scania USA’s operations. He has been working for Scania since 1995, building a wide experience in various positions such as Services, Truck Sales, R&D, Network Development, and Quality Management.
All American Marine Bags Tour Boats Order
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) announced it has won a contract to build a pair of quad-jet sister vessels to expand Seward, Alaska-based Major Marine Tours’ fleet of wildlife and glacier cruise vessels that visit Kenai Fjords National Park. These 87’ x 32” Teknicraft Aluminum catamarans, will be certified USCG Subchapter “T” for 150 passengers.These semi-displacement catamarans were developed by Nic de Waal of Teknicraft Design in Auckland, New Zealand.

Cement Carrier Sports Innovative, 'Green' Cargo System
NACC Alicudi is reported to be the world’s first cement carrier equipped with IMO Tier III compliant diesel engines driving the bulk handling system. Converted in 2017 with a Van Aalst dry bulk handling system, the vessel became a unique and state-of-the-art 120m self-discharging cement carrier, with a cement handling system is based on compressors and vacuum pumps, driven by Tier III Scania engines.
