Meyer Werft Set to Launch 'Norwegian Breakaway'
After just 17 months under construction Meyer Werft plans to float out the new cruise ship Tuesday, weather permitting. The 145,000 gt cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway, has already been undergoing extensive tests and machinery trials. Following the float-out from Covered Building Dock ll, more tests to be carried out in the harbour, when the ship will be berthed alongside the yard's outfitting pier.

On early Sunday morning of 12 August, 2012, the Celebrity Reflection, the new cruise ship for the US cruise company Celebrity Cruises (Miami), is planned to be floated out of the covered building dock II of Meyer Werft, assisted by tugs. The 126,000-gt cruise ship Celebrity [Reflection] is 319 m long and 37.40 m wide. In 1,515 cabins more than 3,030 passengers can be accommodated.

Meyer Werft Wins AIDA Cruise Order
AIDA Cruises placed an approximate euro 630 million ordered for two club ships of a new generation from Papenburg, Germany-based shipyard Meyer Werft.
