DIV Shipbuilding Wins the Deal to Build the 290m Residential Yacht
Ocean Residences Development Ltd. (ORD) has taken the next step in the development of M/Y NJORD, a 290m long residential yacht to be built by DIV Shipbuilding, which owns both Kleven Verft shipyard in Norway and Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia. Both shipyards will have a role in the construction of this vessel, with Brodosplit responsible for the majority of the steel construction of the hull as well as a significant proportion of the technical installations.

Kleven Delivers Maersk Minder
Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Verft today delivered the 95-metre-long anchor handling vessel Maersk Minder, the fourth of six vessels in Maersk Supply Services’ Starfish series.The naming ceremony was held at Kleven Verft this afternoon, led by the shipyard’s new CEO Karsten Sævik, with Anni Bak as sponsor.“This is vessel number four in the series, and the yard has demonstrated its ability to again construct a very advanced and sophisticated vessel,” Sævik said.
Investors Give Kleven a Boost
A group of investors has pumped nearly $40 million into Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven. Norwegian cruise, ferry and cargo operator Hurtigruten and its owners, Petter A. Stordalen and TDR, will be the largest partner in the newly established company, with a 40 percent share. Current owners, John Kleven AS and H-Invest AS are bringing new funds to the company. Additional investors include Åge Remøy and Magnus Roth's InYard Invest, Lürssen-Group, and Per Lillebø.

Kleven to Build Fish Harvesting Vessel for DESS Aqua
Kleven has signed a contract with DESS Aqua, a joint venture company established by Marine Harvest Norway and Deep Sea Supply, on the building of a fish harvesting vessel for carrying salmon from fish farms to processing plants. The vessel will be delivered from Myklebust Verft in March 2018, and is of SALT 425 FHV design from Salt Ship Design. The contract also includes an option for a second vessel.

Kleven to Build Trawler for Spanish Shipowner
Kleven has signed a contract with Spanish ship-owner Pesquera Ancora S.L.U on the building of a 80 m long stern trawler. The vessel is of NVC 374 WP design from Rolls-Royce, and is scheduled to be delivered in February 2018. This will be the fourth vessel of the same Rolls-Royce design in Myklebust Verft’s order book; two vessels are ordered by DFFU in Germany, one by CDP Saint-Malo & Euronor in France, and this latest by Pesquera Ancora in Spain.

Kleven Secures French Trawler Order
Norwegian-owned shipbuilding group Kleven has signed a contract with the French fishery company Compagnie Des Peches Saint-Malo S.A. & SAS Comptoir Des Peches D’Europe Du Nord – Euronor, for the construction of an 80-meter-long stern trawler. The vessel is to be delivered from Myklebust Verft in September 2017, and is of NVC 374 WP design from Rolls-Royce. Two vessels of the same design were ordered by DFFU in June this year.

The vessel has a long term charter with Bibby Offshore, and its first job will be on the British sector of the North Sea. The naming ceremony was held in Olympic’s home harbor Fosnavåg April 9. The vessel measures 87.5 x 19m, making the entrance to the narrow harbor (22m wide) a spectacular sight.
