Flynn Refrigeration Secures Deals with Solstad
The Birkenhead-based firm announced it has secured contracts to supply the Normand Oceanic and Normand Installer vessels with Bitzer compressors. Flynn Refrigeration managing director Alex Flynn said it has now supplied more than 20 Solstad vessels since it began trading with the Scandinavian firm in 2013. “Although we only started trading with Solstad two years ago we have quoted and supplied 23 of their vessels in that time,” Mr. Flynn said.
Flynn Refrigeration Completes Upgrade on Nuclear Carrier
Flynn Refrigeration has delivered a major package of improvements to the refrigeration and air-conditioning system onboard a vessel used to transport specialist nuclear materials around the world. Working under contract to ship managers, Serco, the UK based-company completed the retrofit and conversion project on International Nuclear Services’ (INS) MV Oceanic Pintail. Managing director Alex Flynn said the extensive refrigeration and air conditioning work took 18 months to complete.
