On Friday, Eneco Ocean Winds, and Otary, wind developers, announced that they had formed a consortium in order to compete for an offshore wind tender. The tender is to develop wind energy in the Princess Elizabeth Zone in the Belgian North Sea.

British power generator SSE and network operator said Tuesday that it would proceed, along with joint venture partners, in developing a 2 gigawatt off-shore wind farm in The Netherlands. SSE stated that the wind farm will be operational by the end this decade.

Investors welcomed the dovish remarks of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, and looked forward to the second round in France and the UK national elections. As of 0845 GMT the pan-European STOXX 600 Index was up 0.6%, marking a second consecutive session of gains.
