North Kingstown, R.I. shipbuilder Senesco Marine has built and delivered another EPA Tier 4 compliant tug, Janice Ann Reinauer, to Reinauer Transportation. Upon delivery, the tug went directly to work transporting product on the U.S East and Gulf Coasts.The 4,200-horsepower vessel was designed by Ocean Tug & Barge in close cooperation with The Reinauer operations team and is the 13th tug Senesco has built for Reinauer.

Seaspan Orders Six More Containerships
Seaspan Corporation on Monday announced it has reached deal to order six additional containerships, bringing to 31 the number of newbuilds the Hong Kong-headquartered shipowner has ordered since December 2020. The 15,000 TEU sextet is expected to be delivered from the fourth quarter of 2023, and upon completion will enter long-term charters with a global liner, said Seaspan, a subsidiary of New York-listed Atlas Corp. DNV granted an Approval in Principle (AIP) to Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) for a new design of intra-Europe 1,900 TEU feeder containerships. The AIP is the result of a joint development project between DNV and HMD to develop an efficient and reliable feeder vessel design to respond to the European shortsea container market.
