Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has announced that Secretary of Defense Mark Esper visited the company’s Newport News Shipbuilding division and the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). British Ports Say More Funds Needed Post-Brexit
Following the announcement of the grant awards to certain English ports from the Department for Transport the British Ports Association has suggested further funding might be needed across the ports and logistics sectors in a no deal scenario.Commenting on the funding the British Ports Association’s Chief Executive, Richard Ballantyne said: We welcome the funding but note that some English ports have missed out as well as those in other parts of the UK.
Authorities Gather to Discuss Enforcement of Sulphur Limits
This week, the Danish Maritime Authority is hosting the 6th annual meeting for international sulphur experts who will combine forces to cooperate on further developing effective enforcement.The purpose of the meeting is to exchange knowledge and best practice for surveillance and enforcement. Many of the experts have experience from enforcing local sulphur regulations, particularly the Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECA).
