The Coast Guard rescued 31 Haitians from the disabled pleasure craft, Summer Art, Sunday approximately 9 miles north of Bimini, Bahamas.At approximately 5 a.m., Coast Guard 7th District watchstanders received a report of a disabled vessel with 31 people aboard approximately 9 miles north of Bimini. In a close collaboration with Svitzer of Denmark, SCHOTTEL has developed a new hybrid propulsion concept. The new concept is based on the recent SCHOTTEL Y-Hybrid thruster technology and connects a port and starboard mounted azimuth thruster in a vessel with each other. This makes it possible to drive two thrusters with either one of the main engines.
