Kyriacou to Lead De Nora's BWMS Unit
Electrochlorination equipment supplier De Nora announced that Dr. Stelios Kyriacou has been appointed as General Manager of its BALPURE Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) business unit. Dr. Kyriacou joins De Nora Water Technologies from Wärtsilä, where he managed the research, development, design and certification of the full Wärtsilä BWMS range. ABS Exec Maps Future of Autonomous Shipping at Marintec

UK Partners Launch Autonomous Navigation Project
As unmanned surface vessels continue to gain ground globally, a new project in the U.K. sets out to address challenges relating to the coexistence of autonomous systems and traditional manned vessels in shared water space. V.Ships Offshore, part of V.Group, has been awarded the contract to provide operations and full technical management of the floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessel – Pertamina Abherka in Indonesia. This is the second vessel owned by Pertamina International Shipping to be managed by V.Ships Offshore. The FSO, currently operating at Poleng Marine Terminal, offshore west of Madura Island, also acts as an accommodation facility with a potential capacity of 250 including 21 crew members.

Damen Delivers Dredger in Finland
Damen has delivered a Cutter Suction Dredger 450 to Vesirakennus Ojanen Oy in Finland. This is the first time a Damen Cutter Suction Dredger has been deployed in the Scandinavian market. Boskalis, DEME Win South American Dredging Work
A the 50/50 joint venture between Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. and DEME has been awarded a five-year contract for the capital and maintenance dredging of the Martín García channel, located between Uruguay and Argentina in the northern part of the 50-kilometer-wide Rio de la Plata estuary. The contract from the Comision Administradora del Rio de la Plata (CARP) carries a total value of approximately €110 million ($130 million), and signing is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
