Eidesvik Awarded Contract Extensions
Norwegian based offshore shipping company Eidesvik Offshore announced it has been awarded contract extensions for the supply vessels Viking Lady and Viking Athene from Total E&P on the Solaris well. The contract is in direct continuation with the current contract. Estimated duration is 45 days for the 2006-built Viking Athene and 150 days for the 2009-built LNG-powered Viking Lady, Eidesvik said.

US Navy Enhances Ship Testing Capability
A new 1,000-pound inertial actuator, the AMA1000, is giving engineers at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) unprecedented capability in full-scale testing. John Miesner, an engineer assigned to Carderock Division's Acoustic Signatures Technology Division, said the Navy has used actuators like the AMA1000 in a wet environment for many years, but the shakers, as they are called, were not capable of producing high forces at a broad range of frequencies until 2014.
Port of Rotterdam Reconfigures Cargo Traffic Scheme
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is going to redirect approximately 4km of the port (or first) section of the Betuwe Route. As a result, the railway line will no longer run over the Caland Bridge, so that shipping and rail traffic will cease to get in each other’s way from 2020 onwards. It will also bring an end to the noise nuisance caused by the rail track near the village of Rozenburg. Construction of the new route will cost around €275 million.

Pemex Sets up Credit Lines to Pay Suppliers
State-run oil company Pemex said on Tuesday it had set up lines of credit with Mexico's development banks to improve liquidity and start paying back billions of dollars in debt to suppliers, as the firm seeks to repair finances hit by a rout in crude prices. Pemex has deferred payments to dozens of suppliers and contractors since last year, racking up some 147 billion Mexican pesos ($8.2 billion) in debt by the end of 2015. So far, it has paid back 20 billion pesos.
