Imtech Marine Becomes RH Marine Group
The new RH Marine Group, formerly known as Imtech Marine was introduced at the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam today. Following the recent acquisition by Parcom Capital and Pon Holdings, Imtech Marine will now be known as RH Marine Group, built on the roots of founding companies Radio Holland and van Rietschoten & Houwens. The two ‘pillars’ for service and newbuild activities within Imtech Marine are also involved in the new naming structure.

In-hull Dual Fuel Engine Conversion an Industry First
To convert its vessel Coral Anthelia to dual fuel operation, Anthony Veder worked with Cat dealer Bolier to complete the industry’s first in-hull retrofit – saving considerable time and money in the process. The project saw the retrofit of a marine diesel engine to dual fuel operation in the hull of a ship without altering the vessel’s structure, limiting any onboard operations or requiring the ship to dock.
VSTEP, Poseidon to Bring NAUTIS to Philippines
Two international developers and suppliers of maritime-related educational and operational products, solutions and services, VSTEP and Poseidon Asia, Inc. (PAI), have forged an alliance to bring the NAUTIS maritime simulators and training apps to the Philippines. Headquartered in Rotterdam, VSTEP is known for its NAUTIS maritime simulator solutions and virtual training software for both civilian and naval military applications.

The American Salvage Association (ASA) has elected a new slate of officers at its fall meeting on September 21 in Stamford, Conn. Todd Schauer, Resolve Marine Group was elected President, succeeding Paul Hankins, Donjon Marine Co., Inc., who served as President from 2013-2015. Jim Elliott, T&T Marine Salvage, Inc., was elected Vice President, and David DeVilbiss, Global Diving & Salvage, Inc., was named Secretary/Treasurer.
AlphaBridge Installed on Patrol Boat TTS Speyside
Alphatron Marine announced it has delivered its first 46-inch display AlphaBridge for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard's patrol vessel TTS Speyside. While keeping a 360 viewing field, the AlphaBridge includes an array of functions, all displayed on three displays presented in a fully integrated package. Operating in Trinidad and Tobago, the patrol vessel features a tactical navigation and observation system.
Stena Goes Green with LEMAG
Since fitting the first LEMAG SLASHPOL E-WIF FQI (fuel quality improver) homogenizer on the Stena Carrier over five years ago, Stena has fitted a total of 16 of its vessels with LEMAG WIF homogenizers. Feedback from a number of the Stena vessels has confirmed that in addition to reduced fuel consumption; there is also a reduction in black smoke during start-up and maneuvering, as well as at full load.
