Bollinger Achieves Continued ISO 9001 Certification
Bollinger Shipyards, LLC announced that it has achieved continued registration to ISO 9001 for another three years without interruption since 1996. The scope of Bollinger Shipyards certification, issued through Denver-based ISO 9001 management certification firm, Platinum Registration, Inc., includes the design, manufacture, repair and logistical support of marine vessels and their components, as well as in shop and field service repair of AC and DC motors and generators.
Tuco Receives Wind Farm Vessels Order
Tuco Marine Group will supply its 11m ProZero Wind Farm Service Vessel daughter crafts to the two Ulstein X-stern vessels ordered by the German based Bernhard Schulte affiliate WINDEA Offshore GmbH. The vessels will go into charter for Siemens. And the daughter crafts will be delivered from Tuco Marine in Q2 and Q3 2016. The daughter crafts - the "ProZero 11m Wind Farm Service Vessel" - is from the newly developed ProZero series.

Bridge Systems Ordered for Canadian Navy Newbuids
OSI Maritime Systems Ltd. (OSI) has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin Canada to build, deliver and support the installation of the Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems (INBS) for the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) new class of Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) to be built at the Halifax Shipyard. This implementation phase contract is being awarded subsequent to the successful conclusion of a 21-month design phase contract completed in early 2015.
Hanøytangen Deal Reached – Again
Bergen Group has reached an agreement with Semco Maritime on sale of the rig service activity and with Hellik Teigen AS for sale of the real estate at Hanøytangen. The parties have agreed to uphold the sales price of NOK 245 million, as set out in the agreement which was terminated two weeks ago. The transaction, expected to close by the end of today, will see Semco Maritime take over operational activities at Hanøytangen.

NewLead Holdings Ltd. has entered into a time charter contract with for one of its recently delivered bitumen tanker vessels, the Ioli, for a minimum of one year. The vessel has already been delivered to the charterer that has the option to extend the time charter contract for up to four additional one year periods. Four New Tugs for the Port of Alexandria
The Alexandria Port Authority has placed an order for four new Voith Water Tractors (VWT) to be built at different shipyards in Egypt. Two tugs with an engine power of 2 x 1,920 kW each will be propelled by two Voith Schneider Propellers VSP 28R5/210-2. They will achieve a Bollard Pull of at least 55 tons. The other two with a power of 2 x 1,370 kW each are to be equipped with two VSP 26R5/195-2 for a Bollard Pull of at least 40 tons.

The world’s first electrical car and passenger ferry powered by batteries has entered service in Norway, representing a milestone on the road to operating emission-free ferries along Norway’s coastline, with at least 50 other routes currently able to sustain battery-operated vessels. Indian Prime Minister Visits HHI
Indian prime minister Narendra Modi visited Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), seeking increased partnership between the India’s shipbuilding industry and HHI. HHI is reportedly the only Korean company the prime minister visits during his two-day stay in the country. In a meeting at the HHI headquarters in Ulsan, Modi and HHI management discussed ways to expand cooperation on naval defense, LNG carrier construction and shipbuilding technology.
