Bahrain: ASRY Moves into New Vessel Construction
One of the world's premiere ship repair facilities, ASRY based in Bahrain, unveils its move into new vessel construction. ASRY signed an agreement with the Bahrain Coast Guard to design and construct a new Landing Craft for the transport of vehicles, potable water, and fuel. Emphasising the close working relationship which exists between naval architects Robert Allan Ltd and Turkish shipbuilders Sanmar Ltd, Sanmar's Oben Naki has relocated to Vancouver BC to join the Canadian designers as contracts manager (Turkey). Naki joined Sanmar Shipyards in 2007 immediately on qualifying as a naval architect and marine engineer. He has since gone on to obtain an MBA at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey’s leading educational establishment.
Keel Laid for TUI Cruises’ New Ship
