WesPac to Build N. America’s First LNG Bunker Barge
WesPac Midstream LLC (WesPac), a provider of energy infrastructure and liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions, and its affiliate Clean Marine Energy LLC (CME), the global facilitator of tailored solutions for Emission Control Area (ECA) compliance, announced a construction contract with Conrad Orange Shipyard, Inc., a division of Conrad Shipyard, LLC, to build the first dedicated LNG bunker barge for the marine market in North America.

CSCL Globe Calls the Port of Zeebrugge
On her maiden voyage in the AEX1 service, China Shipping Container Lines’ containership CSCL Globe, currently the world’s largest container vessel, moored at Belgium's Port of Zeebrugge after embarking on its first voyage in China last December. The CSCL Globe, which measures 400 meters in length and approximately 59 meters wide, features a maximum capacity of 19,100 TEUs. Lining the containers up in a row would result in a container chain of 115 kilometers.
Chief Engineer Sentenced for Pollution Violations
Chief U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake sentenced Noly Torato Vidad of the Philippines, the Chief Engineer of the cargo vessel M/V Selene Leader, to eight months in prison, followed by one year of supervised release, for obstruction of justice and violating the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships (APPS). The sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein; Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division John C.
