Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. announced the delivery of the M/V BRAVANTE VI (Hull 156) on Friday February 28, 2014 to Boldini S.A., BRAVANTE GROUP of Brazil. The BRAVANTE V (Hull 155), the first in the series, was delivered three months earlier and is currently on charter in Brazil. The BRAVANTE VI is the second STX SV290 design of five vessels in a series which are all, ABS Classed, AC Diesel-Electric powered, twin Z-drive propelled PSV’s measuring 284’(86.5m) x 60’(18.3m) x 24’-6”(7.5m).

IMTRA, a manufacturer and importer of quality marine products, announced today its Side-Power SH1000 thruster system has been installed on the fourth hull of the 114-foot U.S. Navy Range Training Support Craft (RTSC-110). Selected to replace another supplier used on the previous three builds, IMTRA worked with Florida-based naval architecture firm DeJong & Lebet and San Diego builder Marine Group Boat Works, LLC to determine ideal size requirements for a system optimized for the RTSC-110.

German-based shipowner Harren & Partner (H&P) will implement the DNV GL business intelligence software systems ShipManager Analyzer and ShipManager QHSE for its entire fleet of 52 vessels. Reuters - The main shareholder in D'Amico International Shipping has launched a placement of up to 42.2 million shares, or about 10 percent in the Italian shipper, the company said on Thursday. In a statement, it said the shares will be sold via an accelerated bookbuilding to boost liquidity in the stock amid interest from Italian and institutional foreign investors.
