Navigator Holdings Run a Tight Ship, Report 2013 Profit Surge
In its preliminary fourth quarter and financial year 2013 results, ship owners and charterers Navigator Holdings report that EBITDA increased to $106.8 million for the year ended December 31, 2013 from $63.9 million for 2012. Operating revenue for the year ended December 31, 2013 amounted to $234.3 million (excluding the cargo revenue mentioned above), an increase of $87.6 million compared to operating revenue of $146.7 million for the year ended December 31, 2012.
East-West Freight Rates Remain Down After Chinese New Year

NRL Models Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill
Dr. Jason Jolliff is an oceanographer with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). "The emphasis here," he says, "is on developing models of the ocean environment to help the naval warfighter." Babcock Completes DSV Refit for Bibby
Babcock has completed a contract to undertake a substantial refit on Bibby Offshore’s dive support vessel (DSV), Polaris, at its Rosyth dockyard. The project was Bibby’s largest ever refit package and underlines Babcock’s move to expand its role in the maintenance and refitting of complex oil and gas support ships.
