Destroyer Duncan Sets Sails
Duncan, the sixth and final Type 45 destroyer built by BAE Systems, has set sail from the Clyde in preparation for her handover to the U.K. Royal Navy. Duncan set off from the company’s Scotstoun yard with a combined BAE Systems and Royal Navy crew for the 600-mile journey to her new home port of Portsmouth. Duncan’s departure was delayed due to a technical issue and the BAE Systems team has worked tirelessly with the Ministry of Defense to complete repairs over the weekend.
Underwater Propeller Repair Amsterdam
The owners of a Container vessel consulted FN Diving regarding heavy vibrations of the propeller. FN's team attended the vessel for an underwater inspection while offloading in Amsterdam port, and the underwater inspection revealed two damaged and two bent propeller blades due to ice damage on a 5200MM Propeller. In a normal scenario the blades would be cold straightened however the damaged tip on the opposite blade made this impossible.

Tideland Buoys and Lights for Nakheel's Dubai Developments
Tideland Signal supplied a large quantity of buoys—complete with lanterns, moorings and bridge lights—to Nakheel Marine Group of Dubai for its Palm Deira, Palm Jebel Ali and The World developments. The bulk of the Tideland equipment comprises 13 SB-285P buoys marking the exclusion zones at Palm Deira and Palm Jebel Ali and 43 SB-138P buoys deployed as lateral marks at both Palm Islands and also at the World development.
