Aker Solutions signed a contract with ExxonMobil for the supply of subsea umbilicals for the Erha North phase two development in Nigeria. The Erha North phase two development is an extension of the existing Erha subsea system and infrastructure located approximately 97 kilometers offshore Nigeria in water depths between 1,000 and 1,200 meters. Aker Solutions' scope of work includes the delivery of two dynamic and two static steel tube umbilicals, at a total length of 16.5 kilometers.

Unusual Inter-Port Pipeline Project Planned
The ports of Antwerp (Belgium) and Rotterdam (Netherlands) propose to collaborate in construction of a linking pipeline bundle. One year ago the respective port authorities announced that they would collaborate in studying the possibilities of further developing pipeline connections between the two ports. Since then they have mapped out a route and drawn up a joint cost estimate for building a set of pipelines running in parallel.
Expedition Support Vessel Contract for Kleven
The contract is for a high specification, 107-metre long Expedition Support Vessel, specially designed for long expeditions in rough waters. The new vessel will accommodate 60 people and is to be equipped with a helipad and helicopter hangar. It will be built at Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik and is scheduled for delivery in December 2014. The vessel blends a robust, hard-working character with luxurious added extras, including a swimming pool and its own 21m tender boat on the bow.
