Aker Solutions Acquires Subsea Companies

Aker Solutions has acquired the Norwegian companies Subsea House and SSH Engineering and plans to further expand and recruit 50-100 people in Stokke, located in the Vestfold county of Norway. The transaction value is undisclosed. Subsea House and SSH Engineering, currently owned by Subsea Holding, employs 40 people in total. The companies were established in 2007 and have a solid background within development, assembly, testing and refurbishment of subsea tools and products.
Kleven Orders 400-tonne MacGregor Crane From Cargotec

Cargotec has secured a substantial new contract from Norwegian company Kleven Maritime. Delivery includes a 400-tonne MacGregor active heave-compensated offshore crane with an outreach of 15m. A second smaller crane, which will have a safe working load of 100-tonnes at 9m outreach, is also included in the contract. The 400-tonne unit will have its winch installed below the working deck. The cranes are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2014.

The Stan patrol boats were ordered by the Albanian Ministry of Defence. Their main purpose is to execute patrol duties and Search and Rescue missions in territorial waters. The project included extensive knowledge transfer and the reconstruction of a naval shipyard. The first ship of the Stan Patrol 4207 project was built in the Netherlands and delivered to the Albanian Coast Guard in August 2008.
