China Shipyard Gets Order for Six PSV's
China's Sinopacific Shipbuilding contracted to build four SPP35 style platform supply vessels (PSV's) for Nigerian shipowner SLOK. In addition, the two parties also signed a letter of intent for building two SPP50 style PSVs. The SPP35 and SPP50 PSVs are both designed by Sinopacific’s subsidiary Shanghai Design Associates (SDA). Crown Ship will provide financing services to the shipowner before the delivery.

Abandoned Container Ship 'MSC Flaminia' Salvage
Three tugboats with fire-fighting ability are on the scene. After the arrival of the second firefighting tugboat, Anglian Sovereign, a party of four salvage specialists boarded MSC Flaminia, and were able to reactivate the ship's own firefighting system, which is now operating in support of the fire-fighting tugs' efforts. Due to damaged cargo and extinguishing water the ship is listing by 8.5 degrees. The extent of the damage onboard MSC Flaminia is considerable.

On Wednesday July 4, Paul Rowlands, Marketing Executive for Fendercare Marine was given the honor of being an official Olympic Torchbearer and carrying the flame through Fakenham, Norfolk.
