Subsea 7 Completes Girassol Repair
Subsea 7 reports it has completed the Girassol Pipeline Repair Project for Total E&P Angola. The project was an entirely diverless pipeline repair in 1350m water depth and was based on a technical design competition issued by Total which resulted in Subsea 7 being awarded the contract for the design, manufacture, testing and operation of a new deepwater pipeline repair system (PRS). The system would then be used on the repair of a damaged 12-in.

Ecospeed Suited for Thruster Tunnel Protection
After successful results with four existing ro-ro vessels, Cobelfret NV ordered the Ecospeed coating of the thruster tunnels of five newbuild vessels, the fourth of which was coated last month. The application of the three newbuild vessels was performed at the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG shipyard. In the same period another thruster tunnel, on a vessel owned by the U.S. Coast Guard, was also given Ecospeed protection at the Fraser Shipyards Inc. in Superior, Wis.

Otto Marine Limited announced that it has successfully found a charter for its MT6009 PSV, named Otto Explorer. The vessel will be chartered out to the Group’s subsidiary, Singapore-based Reflect Geophysical Pte Ltd, on a bare boat charter for a contract term of 7+1+1+1 years.
