GAC Expands and Restructures UK Services
Global shipping, logistics and marine services group GAC has announced the merger of its UK operations to better meet clients’ needs, effective 1 January 2010. Shipping services company GAC-OBC, with more than 20 offices throughout the UK, becomes GAC Shipping (UK) Ltd, alongside GAC Logistics (UK) Ltd, GAC’s UK freight forwarding arm. In-house travel agency, GAC-OBC Business Travel, is rebranded as GAC Travel Ltd.
Argos Gulfstream Successful Sea Trials
Tricon Marine successfully completed offshore sea trials for its 92-ft Argos Gulfstream (Argos G92), the first vessel from the company’s new limited-edition series of luxury, offshore performance yachts. The Argos G92 delivered impressive fuel efficiency, burning only eight gph at 8.5 knots (better than one nautical mile per gallon). With her 4,000 gallon fuel capacity she has very long legs for trans-Atlantic crossings. She proved 27 knot top speeds.
Artificial Lift Rigless ESP System Approved
The Artificial Lift Company Ltd. (ALC) announced that its Rigless ESP solution developed in cooperation with ConocoPhillips had been approved by the operator for commercialization.

Typically these suction dredges will be attached to the shore by a long umbilical of piping that takes the dredgate to a shore site where it can be utilized or trucked to another site.
