STX Offshore & Shipbuilding of Korea, one of the world’s largest shipbuilders, has purchased the first OMNIPURE Series 55 marine sanitation system from Severn Trend De Nora for use on a new drill ship. The OMNIPURE Series 55 system complies with MEPC.159(55) effluent standards and performance tests for sewage treatment plants across a variety of offshore and marine installations. The model 5556 system has a treatment capacity of 56 m3/day (14,793 gal/day).
