Aas Mek Contracts PG for Wellboat Pumps
Norwegian shipbuilder Aas Mekaniske Verksted has awarded pump and liquid handling specialist PG Flow Solutions a contract to deliver pump systems to a wellboat the shipyard is building for Brønnbåt Nord AS.The wellboat to Brønnbåt Nord Lofoten is newbuild number 207 from Aas Mekaniske Verksted. Keppel Orders PG Flow Solutions for Gimmi FLNG
Singaporebased Keppel Shipyard has awarded Norwegian liquid handling and pump specialist PG Flow Solutions a contract to supply high flow seawater pumps to the Gimi FLNG that is being converted at the yard.PG Flow Solutions will deliver four large seawater pumps, each with a capacity of 5,500 cubic metres of water per hour. Blue Water Ships Fire Pump Vessel
The project team of Blue Water Shipping, a provider of freight transport solutions, in Marseille, France was entrusted with an exciting job for its client Societe De Constructions, De Reparations Navales Et De Mecanique (SOCARENAM).In early january, a fire pump vessel (weighing 128 metric tons/measuring 24.9 x 6.9 x 3.3 metres) was to be shipped from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Toulon Brégaillon to be operated by Marseille Marine Fire Brigade Division.Blue Water’s scope of the project included engineering, chartering of vessel, loading in Boulogne-sur-Mer, sea fastening and discharging in Toulon Brégaillon. “Due to careful planning and a successful teamwork between Blue Water and SOCARENAM, the entire operation went as planned. PG's Pump for Sølvtrans' Boat
Norwegian shipyard Aas Mekaniske Verksted has awarded compatriot pump supplier PG Flow Solutions a deal to deliver pump systems to another new vessel the yard is building for wellboat company Sølvtrans.Pump and liquid handling specialist PG Flow Solutions will deliver eight of the company’s large seawater circulation pumps that ensure continuous seawater circulation in the boat’s well.Additionally, the company will supply all engine room pumps that are required for the main engine and support engines, plus generic pump requirements for operating the wellboat. PG Flow Solutions Wins VARD Contract

NFT Partners with PG Flow Solutions on Wellboat Pumps
Pump and liquid handling specialist PG Flow Solutions is working with Norsk Fisketransport AS (NFT) to develop a new service programme to further optimise the operational uptime of the shipowner’s vessels.The Norwegean wellbore shipping company said that PG Flow Solutions has assisted it with identifying flexible pump systems that can be utilized across the company’s wellboat fleet.In the wake of this, NTF has identified and ordered selected cargo-critical pumps that are prepared for storage and will be available as spare pumps for use on board several of NFT’s wellboats, it said.Norsk Fisketransport AS provides wellboat services along the Norwegian coast. The company operates eight wellboats.PG Flow Solutions is also launching a pilot project for condition monitoring of the pumps.
Weatherford Rolls Out ForeSite Optimization Platform
Irish-domiciled multinational oilfield services company Weatherford said it has made a major enhancement to its ForeSite production optimization platform, which combines physics-based models with advanced data analytics to improve performance across wells, reservoirs, and surface facilities on a single, secure platform.Weatherford, which first introduced the ForeSite platform in May 2017, said the new release expands predictive failure analytics to electric submersible pumping systems (ESPs) and adds complete optimization capabilities for plunger-lifted wells.The platform expands capabilities in reciprocating rod lift by adding predictive failure analytics for ESP systems.
McLane Research Laboratories Announces New WTS-LV Deep
The manufacturer time-series oceanographic profilers, samplers, and flotation McLane Research Laboratories announced a new a 7,000m (23,000ft) deep option for WTS-LV samplers. The WTS-LV Deep option is available on the Standard, Dual Filter, and High Capacity WTS-LV models, and can also be retrofit to existing WTS-LV systems.“The LV Deep option provides 35% greater depth capacity and has been a customer-requested enhancement for some time.” says McLane General Manager Jon Mogul. “Marine biologists, chemists and geologists can use the WTS-LV Deep to pump up to 45,000L of seawater and collect suspended particles from previously unattainable depths.”WTS-LV pumps with new 7,000m deep housings were used as the deepest two pumps on every cast during the recent U.S. GEOTRACES cruise GP15.
Wärtsilä Sells Pumps Business to Solix Group
Finnish technology group Wärtsilä has divested its pumps business to Solix Group, a Scandinavian investment company with offices in Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmö, Sweden.According to a press release from the marine technology giant, Wärtsilä Pumps has belonged to the Wärtsilä Marine Solutions organisation and became part of the company along with the acquisition of Hamworthy in 2012. The Wärtsilä Pumps business recorded sales of approximately 50 MEUR in 2017.The divestment will enable Wärtsilä to devote greater focus to its Smart Marine vision. This is based on the rapid introduction of new technologies, which are creating unprecedented levels of efficiency and cost savings.
Alfa Laval to Suppy Pumping Systems for China-built FPSO
Swedish company Alfa Laval has won an order to supply Framo pumping systems to an FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) vessel to be built in China.The provider of specialized products and engineering solutions based on its key technologies of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling said in a press release that the order has a value of approximately SEK 70 million ($7.72 mln).It was booked late September in the Pumping Systems unit of the Marine Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2019.The order comprises marine pumping systems for crude oil offloading, slop, produced water, off-spec oil and ballast pump duties."I am pleased to announce this order for our Framo pumping systems.
