On July 24, 2018, a representative of the 800-foot crude oil tanker Eagle Louisiana contacted the U.S. Coast Guard after a crewmember reportedly began exhibiting symptoms of heat exhaustion.

The Coast Gaurd sent an Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew to hoist the 23-year-old mariner from the vessel near Galveston, Texas.
