Yang Ming Sets-up Shop in China
Taiwanese ocean shipping company Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has formed a new subsidiary with un-named partners in Shanghai named Huan Ming (Shanghai) International Shipping Agency.
The subsidiary will begin operating on 1st January, 2020. Huan Ming will act as Yang Ming’s general agent in China. With the establishment of Huan Ming, Yang Ming is confident that its image will be further strengthened and the resources in China better integrated to reasonably reduce operating costs and improve operating efficiency.
China accounts for a large share of Yang Ming’s total cargo volume. With the addition of a new member joining THE Alliance in the upcoming year, Yang Ming will be poised to significantly strengthen its service portfolio and increase its competitiveness.
The new operating model can integrate the business in Southern China, which was previously overseen by Yang Ming’s subsidiary in Hong Kong, and enable the company to offer centralized management and further optimize efficiency.
Yang Ming provides several high quality services in Intra-Asia, Asia-NCP/ MED, Trans-Pacific, Asia-Australia and Asia-South America trades covering the following 10 major ports in China: Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Xingang, Dalian, Lianyungang, Xiamen, Shekou, Yantian, and Guangzhou.
Huan Ming will serve all clients with a more comprehensive and intensive shipping network by reinforcing local operations for import, export and transship cargoes in China, and continue to expand the development of Yang Ming in the global market.
Huan Ming sets up 15 offices at Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen, Ningbo, Nanjing, Dalian, Fuzhou, Suzhou, Wuhan, Lianyungang, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Zhongshan.
