Vinalines, Vinacomin Sign MoU

 Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) and Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin - TKV) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a strategic co-operation agreement, Viet Nam News reported.

 
As per the agreement, Vinalines will provide services of container shipping, barges and bulk carriers as requested by Vinacomin to transport goods to local and international destinations.
 
Vinalines and Vinacomin explore the possibility of cooperation in the field of maritime and logistics services provided by Vinalines such as forwarding services, warehousing, shipping agents, shipping agents, customs agents. For domestic shipments and import and export of TKV.
 
"This cooperation agreement creates the basis for Vinalines to step by step increase the market share of export and import of goods on domestic and international shipping lines and also to concretize the strategy and investment plan. Vinalines' production and business plan for 2016-2020 has just been approved by the Prime Minister, "said Nguyen Canh Tinh, director general of Vinalines.
 
Vice Minister Nguyen Hong Truong said that Vinacomin (Vinacomin) - a large cargo group cooperated with Vinalines is a very good signal, increase the relationship, increase the strength of the businesses.
 
Vinacomin general director Đặng Thanh Hải said each year, the corporation needs to transport 35 million tonnes of goods on the waterway and seaway. The figure is forecast to increase to 40 million tonnes by 2020, thus the partnership with Việt Nam’s largest maritime shipping group would bring more benefits to Vinacomin.
