Veson Nautical Expands Professional Staff

Veson Nautical operations and accounting solutions for cargo transportation, today announced it is expanding its director level in Singapore as well as its project management and human resources personnel in the U.S. to keep pace with its continuing growth and to ensure that the needs of its customers are met. Additionally Veson has ramped up new training and post-implementation support for its current clients.

Andy Lee, Veson’s new Regional Director, Asia Pacific, comes to the company with more than 15 years experience in the enterprise software field. He has a strong track record in understanding client business processes and requirements, implementing tailor-made solutions, and supporting customers post-installation. Prior to joining Veson, Lee worked at Allegro Development Asia Private Limited, in dual capacities as Product Marketing Manager and Senior Energy Consultant. In his new position, Lee will join Xiaobang Yue and Robert Marx to lead the Veson Nautical Corporation Representative Office in Singapore. The staff will service Veson customers Thoresen Thai Agencies, The Australian Wheat Board, ConocoPhillips Singapore, Tesoro Singapore, and Rio Tinto among others.

Per Ostman will be working in Veson’s Boston headquarters as Project Manager. With a degree from Cornell University and solid communications background, he is well versed in adapting to ever-changing client needs using his technical expertise, a service orientation and innovative thinking. Ostman’s professional background includes serving as Marketing Manager for ICLUBcentral, a financial software company based in Harvard Square. He was also recently involved with the successful launch of The UpDown, a Harvard Business School startup web destination for young investors. In his new role as Veson’s Project Manager, Ostman will be working with several of Veson’s largest accounts to manage the roll-out of long-term projects and continuing to streamline product implementation with Project Director Jesse DiIanni.

Sarah Taffee also joins the Boston team as Manager of Organization Development. Taffee is adept at developing strategies for creating and retaining positive corporate culture as well as formulating programs for professional development and new staff integration. Sarah holds a Master of Education in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts in English Literature. Her eight years at Boston Scientific (formerly Guidant Corporation) included several promotions within their Web Services and Learning & Development departments. Taffee will handle all aspects of human resource management for Veson. She will also lead enhancement efforts in internal processes, knowledge management, communication, training and professional development.

Customer Training and Post-Implementation Initiatives In addition to welcoming new staff, Veson Nautical continues to actively develop new training initiatives and fortify the company’s customer care programs. Quarterly Webinars, One-on-One Training Sessions, and an expanded Help Desk are just a few of the programs the company has implemented to enhance customer service. Topnotch professionals working from offices in Boston, Rotterdam, Athens and Singapore enable the company to provide round-the-clock support to its geographically diverse client base.
