Hatsu Marine Limited is to launch a new service in June linking North Europe with the U.S. East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. The service, provided in partnership with CMA CGM and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), will be known as EUG.
In addition to serving the busy US-Mexico trades, the new service will allow Hatsu to link the fast-growing Mexican market with its European feeder and global networks over the major North European ports.
The weekly service will deploy five ships, each able to load approximately 2,800 TEU. The vessels will operate at a service speed of 20.5 knots and offer approximately 350 reefer plugs. Hatsu will contribute one vessel, while the other lines will supply two each.
The first sailing will take place on 4 June out of Le Havre. Port rotation is as follows:
Le Havre – Antwerp – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Charleston – Vera Cruz – Altamira – Houston – Le Havre.
