MOL to Open New Office in Switzerland

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), one of the world's largest global multimodal transportation companies, will open its own office in Switzerland as part of its strategy to grow closer to customers. The new office will be located in Basel and will begin operations on January 1, 2014.

Jochen Veldmann, Area Director for MOL, said that the decision to open the new office in this important market is part of MOL’s company-wide strategy to have its own people on the ground and grow closer to its customers. “We will be much better positioned to respond to customer needs, improve service quality, and offer full-network coverage in the region.”

Mr. Veldmann said MOL had enjoyed a strong and long-lasting relationship with Hausmann and thanked the company for being an excellent partner over the past years. MOL and Hausmann will work closely together during the transfer of operations to ensure a smooth transition.
