New Superyacht Refit Facility Near Completion in Turkey

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

September 30, 2010

Aganlar Boatyard is close to completing a major extension of their boat building and re-fit yard in Bodrum and is working with Marine Trade Centre to implement an integrated PR and marketing campaign. The purpose of the campaign will be to highlight the unique new facilities and skills which Aganlar is bringing to the superyacht refit market in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Speaking at the Monaco Yacht Show Erdem Agan, one of the owners of Aganlar, commented: "We have been building and re-fitting wooden and now aluminium yachts for almost 50 years so we have a tremendous pool of talented boat builders, designers and engineers here in Bodrum. We are investing EUR 5 million in these facilities to enable us to compete with the best yards in Europe but with the distinct advantage of a lower labour cost base. We are delighted to be working with Marine Trade Centre who will help us to get this message out to superyacht owners, managers, captains and designers."
