Transas Reports Another Successful Year
In 2002, Transas greatly increased international sales of its VTS products. Transas Vessel Traffic Service systems, Navi-Harbour and Navi-Traffic, have been installed in ports in England, Iceland, France, Russia, Morocco, and Namibia. In November 2002 Transas signed a prestigious multi-million contract with Bulgarian government for the installation of a Transas large-scale VTMIS (Vessel Traffic Management and Information System), including GMDSS and UAIS subsystems on the Black Sea, to cover the Bulgarian shore line from the Romanian frontier to the Turkish one. This strategic project is significant for the further development of the Bulgarian coastal structure, safe sailing environment in the Black Sea and business prosperity of the region. The year 2002 marked the Tenth Anniversary of Transas in the international market. Transas Marine Ltd. was registered in 1992 in Southampton, UK, and has become a firm leader in the field of marine software and electronics in record time. Summing up the results of the past year, Sven Rasmussen, director of sales and marketing, said: “Transas is sincerely proud for all the successes it achieved during the year 2002. But all these wouldn’t be possible without the people who continuously contribute with their professionalism and enthusiasm to the common Transas goal. First of all Transas is a perfect, consolidated International team, going ahead in the common rhythm - rhythm of success!”
