Simrad has received four awards from the National Marine Electronics
Association (NMEA) at the organisation’s 2003 conference held in Sannibel,
Florida in October. This marks the 19th consecutive year that the marine
electronics specialist has won awards from the NMEA.
The awards were announced by Carol Sherburne, chairman of the NMEA at the
conference’s official banquet. Four specific products were awarded, all
hailing from Simrad’s advanced range of autopilots and associated
products. This takes the total number of NMEA awards received by Simrad’s
autopilot range up to thirty five – making it the most awarded range of
autopilots from any manufacturer.
Simrad’s NMEA 2003 award winning products are:
Simrad AP20 Series (Autopilot Recreational)
Simrad AP50 (Autopilot Commercial)
Simrad RC25 (Compass Electronic)
Simrad RGC50 (Compass Gyro)
“Simrad continues to expand and improve its range of autopilots and
compasses, which is something the NMEA has recognised on an annual basis,”
says Petter Jørgensen Vice President products and Marketing Simrad AS.
“The NMEA awards are based on technology so we’re extremely proud to
continue our track record by receiving four more awards for our autopilots
in 2003.”
