ShipServ Launches New Sourcing Tool
ShipServ Pages enable all marine buyers to search for and qualify suppliers using a wide variety of criteria on as narrow or as wide a basis as required.
They provide suppliers with a highly effective tool to market and advertise their services in an interactive manner. Fully integrated to ShipServ’s TradeNet and highly user friendly - ShipServ Pages provide shipowners / managers and their suppliers with further improved management and marketing tools. All suppliers receive a free listing in ShipServ Pages and are then able to further manage how their company appears in response to buyers search criteria.
‘Trade Enabled’ ShipServ Pages
- far more than a listing of suppliers and their services.
ShipServ Pages take a big step in moving beyond just being an online directory. The marriage of search and transaction tools by trade enabling ShipServ Pages with the integration to the largest and fastest growing e-commerce platform in shipping, ShipServ TradeNet, is a real improvement in functionality for buyers and suppliers. This year, a transaction volume of 700 million USD is expected to be carried out on TradeNet.
Demonstrating ShipServ Pages to the press in London today, Paul Ostergaard, CEO, ShipServ said, ‘We are providing sophisticated management tools that are easy to use and that provide immediate benefits to our expanding user base. The introduction of ShipServ Pages provides buyer and suppliers with another mutually beneficial service. This easy to access, highly functional product is available to the whole market but has been built to integrate directly with TradeNet and users’ purchasing and sales order systems.’
Mr. Ostergaard said ShipServ will continue to invest in providing improvements to its service offerings. ‘We are responding to the market’s needs for greater efficiency, control and choice. On both the buyer and supplier side we are now seeing rapid growth in transactions over TradeNet and we hope that ShipServ Pages further support that trend. We will continue to listen to and support the market – we will go where our clients need and want us to go. So far we have concentrated on the ship supply market. With our new offering we will be looking at new areas in the marine industry.’
