Giuseppe Mauro Rizzo said “I deliberately chose the autumn Young Businessmen’s convention to confirm the strong bonds which tie us to the Association of Young Businessmen. In fact we proposed the establishment of an exchange and confrontation of matters of common interest to our two associations to their president Marco Colaninno”.
“There is no doubt that the theme of this years Young Businessmen’s convention is extremely important and involves all those who wish to take a responsible position in making our country competitive in international markets which have undertaken profound change in the last few years both economically and socially”.
Giuseppe Mauro Rizzo continued “ In addition I believe that the role of the younger generation must not be underestimated and that this generation which has matured and studied in a globalised world can bring an innovative approach to business”.
The Young Ship-Owners also examined the report on the Italian Mercantile Marine Academy where the Young Ship-Owners under the previous president Stefano Messina now vice president of Confitarma had put in much hard work. The report noted good results achieved so far which should ensure success for the courses which start in November for trainee deck, engineering and purser officers.
In conclusion the Young Ship-owners informally celebrated their first ten years. The official celebration will be held at a date to be announced.
