Daewoo Shipbuilding Wins $470M Order

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won a $470 million order to construct a drillship for the first time. The order was placed on a turnkey basis by the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor, Transocean of the United States. The drillship will be delivered by 2008 for energy giant Chevron Corp.’s oil and natural gas field in the Gulf of Mexico. (Source: Korea Times)
