Willard to Build Riverine Boats for Nepal Army
Willard Marine, Inc. has been awarded a contract to supply the Nepal Army with two newly designed aluminum riverine boats. Under the contract, issued by the U.S. Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) office, Willard Marine is producing two 31.5-foot aluminum riverine boats, each powered by Yanmar engines and Hamilton water jets. Willard Marine will also provide comprehensive onsite crew training regarding the design, operation, maintenance and repair of the boats.

Hapag-Lloyd Improves Safety of Dangerous Goods Transportation
Last year, Hapag-Lloyd discovered 2,620 cases of incorrectly declared dangerous goods that were prevented from being shipped. Dangerous goods experts at Hapag-Lloyd investigated over 162,000 suspicious cases which were recorded using a newly developed watchdog software. The watchdog program continuously examines Hapag-Lloyd’s cargo data to identify anything conspicuous and has a database of more than 6,000 keywords that is constantly being added to and refined.
Damen Delivers Stan Patrol Vessel to RBDF
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) has taken delivery of the fourth and final Stan Patrol 4207, named HMBS Rolly Gray. The four Stan Patrol 4207s form part of the six-year Sandy Bottom project. The Stan Patrol 4207s carry a 24-person crew, have a range in excess of 2000 nm and can achieve speeds of 20 knots. As well as their weapons systems each carries two RHIBS for fast interception and boarding.
