GTT Inks Services Deal with Knutsen
France-based GTT said it signed in June a global technical services agreement (TSA) with the Norwegian shipowner Knutsen OAS Shipping AS. This new agreement covers a fleet of 17 vessels by 2022, including 12 currently in service and five under construction, all equipped with Mark III Flex or NO96 technologies, developed by GTT.GTT will support Knutsen with the maintenance and operation of the vessels.
BSM Opens Liquid Cargo Simulator Facility
Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) said it has launched a new liquid cargo training facility at its maritime training center in Cyprus as part of a wider boost to LNG training across the whole company, reflecting increasing industry demand and more LNG vessels entering the market.The new Liquid Cargo Simulator (LCS) has been designed and developed by BSM’s inhouse technical team and uses GTT Training software.
GTT to Design Tanks for COSCO LNG Tanker Trio
French GTT has received an order from the Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for the tank design for three new LNG carriers. The carriers will be delivered to the Chinese ship-owner COSCO Shipping. Each vessel will offer a capacity of 174,000 m3.
